Here at RejuvaYou, we offer a safe, non-invasive approach to tattoo removal.  We utilize the latest technology with our Lutronics Spectra Laser to ensure that your unwanted tattoo can be removed with safety and simplicity, without the potential for burns or scars that often coincide with traditional tattoo removal methods.

The Spectra laser uses a beam of light to significantly lighten or completely remove the tattoo.  The ink particles absorb the light from the laser, and then they are broken up into fragments and are naturally absorbed through the body's immune system.  This process usually takes just a few weeks after the initial treatment.  The larger the tattoo, the more treatments that are generally required to break down the ink particles.

What is the treatment like?
Many patients describe a sensation similar to the snap of a rubber band on the skin.

What will my skin look like after treatment?
Following the treatment, the skin will have a temporary white discoloration, and the area around the tattoo can become reddish with some slight swelling. This is normal for the treatment and will disappear over time. Desired results may take about 5-6 weeks after treatment.

Are there side effects?

On occasion, a whitening of the skin may occur. However, normal skin tone should return within 6-12 months following the last treatment.

How do laser treatments compare to other tattoo removal methods?

Other treatment options for removing a tattoo include surgical excision, dermabrasion (or sanding) and chemical peels. These methods can be painful and may often result in scarring, with unwanted results. The Lutronics Spectra Laser treatment is much safer. The treatment is non-invasive and only targets the ink particles in the actual tattoo.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required for the best results depends on the size, location, depth and color of the tattoo. Treatments should be performed 4-8 weeks apart in order to allow the body enough time to remove the maximum amount of tattoo pigments after each treatment.

How long do treatments take?

Treatments are usually done within just 10-30 minutes.
